About MoraXtreme 10.0
MoraXtreme is Sri Lanka’s premier annual algorithmic coding competition, organized by the IEEE Student Branch in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society of the University of Moratuwa. It serves as the national adaptation and preparatory event for the global IEEEXtreme competition, fostering competitive coding skills and innovation among university students islandwide.
Competition Format
MoraXtreme 10.0 consists of two rounds:
- Elimination Round: A 12-hour online coding competition open to all registered participants from Sri Lankan universities.
- Final Round: An 8-hour physical round held at the University of Moratuwa premises where the top 10 teams from the elimination round compete to determine the ultimate champions.
Eligibility
- Open to undergraduates from all Sri Lankan universities.
- 2024 A/L graduates awaiting university enrollment can also participate.
- Teams can have up to three members from the same university, or participants may compete individually.
Skills Tested
Participants are challenged on a range of algorithmic, mathematical, and programming problems designed to test logic, problem-solving speed, and coding proficiency.
MoraXtreme 10.0 Awards
All registered teams that make an eligible attempt at MoraXtreme 10.0 will receive digital certificates. All finalists will receive printed certificates of achievement recognizing their performance in MoraXtreme 10.0.
